Acquired 50% interest in 115,000 acres in Horn River area.

Subsidiaries of Imperial Oil Ltd., Calgary, (Amex: IMO) and ExxonMobil Canada Ltd., a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, Irving, Texas, (NYSE: XOM) have acquired a total 115,000 acres of exploration rights in the Horn River area of northeastern British Columbia since September from undisclosed sellers for an undisclosed price. The licenses are 70 kilometers northeast of Fort Nelson, British Columbia, and Imperial and ExxonMobil Canada each hold a 50% interest in the acreage.
