Midstream-focused First River Energy LLC acquired Texas Gathering Co. LLC, and two complementary crude gathering companies, the company said July 23.
Privately owned Texas Gathering gathers about 24,000 barrels per day of crude oil, primarily in Texas. Owner Travis Davis and his management team have joined First River Energy and will continue managing the business.
Johan Themaat, founder and CEO of First River Energy, said the acquisition expands the company’s operational footprint and customer base. Texas Gathering has assets in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
Texas Gathering Co. will continue operating under its current name, Davis said.
First River Energy LLC is based in Denver.
