U.S. Pipeline Inc. reports it has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract to build three compressor stations in Bolivia.
Gas TransBoliviano S.A., owner of the Bolivian portion of the Bolivia-to-Brazil line, awarded the contract. The compressor stations, located at Robore, Izozog and Chiquitos, are approximately 73 miles apart along the line, which delivers natural gas from the Rio Grande area of Bolivia to Canoas, Brazil.
AMEC Energy of Oakville, Ontario, is supporting U.S. Pipeline for the engineering and design aspects of the project. Work is under way for a January 2003 completion.
