Williams reports that construction is underway on its $75-million Grays Harbor lateral, designed to supply natural gas to power markets in Washington State.
Associated Pipeline Contractors Inc. is building the 49-mi (79-km), 20-in. lateral, starting from an interconnect on Williams’ Northwest pipeline system near Vail. The line will run through Thurston and Grays Harbor counties before terminating near Elma, Wash.
Mountain West Fabrication Plants & Stations Inc. is adding 4,700 hp at the Tumwater compressor station. The project received the FERC certificate in April. A November 2002 completion is planned.
