Energy infrastructure contractor Willbros Group Inc. received a contract to construct an ethane pipeline in Texas from HSC Pipeline Partnership, a subsidiary of Enterprise Products Partners LP, Willbros said June 3.
The pipeline will run 15.5 miles from Enterprise’s storage facility near Mont Belvieu and end at Enterprise’s Morgan’s Point facility in Galveston Bay. Mont Belvieu is in Chambers County, Texas, and the Morgan’s Point facility is near Harris County, Texas.
The 24-inch pipeline will be constructed in one segment, and one of its several drilled crossings will be the Houston Ship Channel, Willbros said. Construction will begin in June and is scheduled to be finished in November.
"This project fits our technical experience and capabilities very well. We look forward to working with the Enterprise team and delivering a quality project," said Harry New, president of Willbros Oil & Gas.
Willbros Group Inc. is based in Houston.
