Vaquero Midstream LLC said May 4 that it selected a site in Pecos County, Texas, for its gas gathering and processing project in the Southern Delaware Basin. The site is near the Waha Hub and the Lone Star NGL pipeline.
Construction is scheduled to start in June, the company said. The new facility will support optimum recovery and efficiency for Delaware Basin natural gas.
A UOP Russell cryogenic unit will support 200 million cubic feet per day of gas. The Lone Star NGL Pipeline will take the liquids to the Mont Belvieu NGL market.
Vaquero will also build more than 100 miles of high-pressure 8-inch to 30-inch pipeline that will connect acreage blocks to central delivery systems.
The plant and the gathering system are scheduled to be completed over the next year, and the complex is scheduled to be operational by 2016’s second quarter, the company said.
“We are strong believers in the Southern Delaware Basin and we are excited about transforming the area’s infrastructure capabilities to a new level,” said Gary Conway, president and CEO of Vaquero Midstream.
“We are committed to partnering with the producers in the Southern Delaware Basin by building a world class asset designed as a solution for the producers’ needs.”
Vaquero Midstream LLC is based in The Woodlands, Texas.
