Vaquero Midstream LLC commissioned its Caymus I natural gas processing facility in Pecos County, Texas, which will process gas from the Avalon, Wolfcamp and Bone Spring shale formations in the Delaware Basin, the company said July 5.
A tailored UOP Russell cryogenic processing plant, which was recently constructed, can handle 200 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of gas. This could expand to four additional 200 MMcf/d processing trains. This plant is on 330 acres, Vaquero said.
The plant has oversized inlet liquids handling with condensate stabilization and storage, inlet compression to minimize field pressure, amine treating, propane refrigeration prior to cryogenic processing, and dual-drive residue compression.
Caymus I is supplied by a high pressure gathering system of about 80 miles of pipeline connecting Pecos, Reeves, Ward and Culberson counties, Texas, to the facility. This gathering system is designed for volumes of more than 800 MMcf/d.
Multiple outlets at the Waha market are connected by a 16-inch residue header. Connections include Atmos, Enterprise, Northern Natural Gas, and ONEOK’s WestTex Transmission system that connects to the Roadrunner Gas Transmission Pipeline. These four connections will allow access to more than 12 residue gas outlets accessing California, the Midwest, the Gulf Coast and Mexico.
Vaquero said the 12-inch NGL header was also commissioned with outlets connecting to Lone Star’s West Texas Gateway Pipeline and Enterprise’s Chaparral systems.
Vaquero Midstream LLC is based in The Woodlands, Texas.
