Turkey will import between 2.5 billion to 3 billion cubic meters of LNG from Qatar, according to Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz. A formal agreement has yet to be worked out between the countries.

"We would like to make two agreements with Qatar: one short-term and one long-term. If we can agree on the price, we will make an agreement through Bota (Turkey's national oil and gas company),” Yildiz said at a news conference, while adding that the country is also discussing securing additional volumes from Saudi Arabia and Libya.
