Sasol awarded Technip a contract to provide engineering and procurement for eight proprietary Ultra Selective Conversion furnaces, Technip announced in a statement. The furnaces will be located at Sasol’s planned world-scale ethane cracker and derivatives complex in Lake Charles, La.
This award follows Sasol’s earlier selection of Technip’s proprietary ethylene technology and FEED for the cracker, which will produce about 1.5 million tons per annum of ethylene. Technip’s Houston, Texas, operating center will execute the project.
