Siemens Industry Sector launched its Simatic Process Historian central archiving system, which is designed to deliver long-term archiving functionality for Siemens Simatic WinCC V7.2 and V7.0 SP3 SCADA software.
The web-based system is easily configured and acquires and archives large amounts of process and alarm data in real time from any number of lower-level WinCC systems for plant-wide analyses and reports.
The system is scalable to accommodate fluctuating data volume without interrupting production.
The archiving function automatically creates weekly, monthly and annual archives. Process data and messages can be written to central archives in real-time mode without additional engineering. High data integrity is ensured with an integrated backup system and a Process Historian Management "Dashboard" provides simple information management and diagnostics.
