DNV GL has established a joint industry project (JIP) focused on leak detection. Twenty key industry players are partnering to develop a best practice for designing and implementing offshore leak detection systems.
Vilter Manufacturing LLC, introduced its next-generation vapor recovery units (VRUs), which feature hermetically sealed Copeland Scroll compressors, horizontal lube oil stabilizer and the ROC827 controller.
The software-based enhancement module uses negative pressure wave monitoring for rupture events, acoustic signature recognition of high pressure leaks, distributed temperature gradient sensing and ground-heave strain monitoring.
The devices are “capable of detecting leaks down to one part per billion in ambient air while reducing false positives from naturally occurring methane,” says a PG&E release. The company says it’s the first in the world to use the technology.
USON appointed Bob Tong as director of USON’s China operations and the expansion of the company's sales and technical support offices in four China locations (Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, and Changchun).
