Sugar Land, Texas-based Rangeland Energy said Sept. 6 that it formed a subsidiary, Rangeland Midstream Canada Ltd. (Rangeland Canada), to pursue midstream opportunities in Western Canada.
Rangeland Canada will provide gathering, compression, treating, processing and storage services for natural gas, crude oil, NGL and other commodities.
Briton W. Speer leads the subsidiary; he joined Rangeland Canada in August as vice president of business development. Speer said the company will operate in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
Speer has been an energy executive for 16 years, focusing on crude oil marketing and business development. Most recently, he was vice president of business development for DK Canada Energy ULC, a subsidiary of Delek US Holdings Inc. Prior to that, he worked for eight years at Pembina Midstream Limited Partnership. Speer began his career at Tidal Energy Marketing Inc.
Speer graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Rangeland Canada is based in Calgary, Alberta.
