Pembina Pipeline Corp. announced several project updates on Sept. 25. The company began commissioning and extracted its first NGL barrels through its recently built 200 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) Resthaven gas processing facility. Pembina will bring the plant fully into service over the next two to three weeks, at which point Resthaven will deliver NGL into Pembina’s Peace Pipeline.

Pembina also announced its expectation that its Musreau II gas plant—a 100 MMcf/d shallow cut plant—will enter service in December 2014, ahead of its previously anticipated in-service date of first-quarter 2015.

Finally, in connection with its Phase III pipeline expansion, Pembina was able to secure the majority of its existing crude and condensate volumes under long-term, firm service contracts. The company also contracted another 18,000 barrels per day (bbl/d) as part of its Phase III expansion and now has 307,000 bbl/d under contract.
