Kirk N. Blackim was appointed as vice president of business development at Vaquero Midstream, the company said Feb. 7. He will be based in the company’s office in The Woodlands, Texas.

He joined Vaquero from Crestwood Midstream Partners LP, where he was director of business development for gathering and processing. Previously, he worked at The Williams Cos. Inc., including as manager of commercial development and the senior originator in the corporate strategy development group, Vaquero said.

He has more than 30 years’ experience in management, working in business development, accounting, finance, operations and governmental regulation of midstream and gas transmission systems for most U.S. basins.

Blackim earned a bachelor’s of business administration degree from Washburn University, and completed the certified public accountant exam in 1983.
