Flow-Cal, Inc., a software development company for measurement data management in the natural gas and petroleum liquids sector, has completed the final stages of a pioneering liquid development project with ExxonMobil Global Services Company. The purpose of the project was to automate all North American liquid ticketing operations for ExxonMobil Global Services Company through the FLOWCAL Enterprise Liquids system. ExxonMobil is the world's largest publicly traded international oil and gas company, operating in most of the world’s countries, producing and selling crude oil, natural gas, and petroleum products.
The FLOWCAL Enterprise Liquids system has redefined ExxonMobil’s organizational processes, automating all measurement data collection and product ticket validation throughout North America. Measurement points where ExxonMobil would have previously documented thousands of hand written tickets per month, are now managed electronically through one centralized system. The FLOWCAL Enterprise Liquid System provides a single source for the handling of pipelines, tanks, railcars, trucks, tankers, and product inventory.
“We have had a close relationship with ExxonMobil for a number of years through various projects and were honored to have been selected for this prestigious project. As a recognized leader in the industry, ExxonMobil’s influence on our liquid products will benefit both our current and future clients,” Michael Squyres, president of Flow-Cal, said in a release.
The liquid application suite will enable ExxonMobil Pipeline Company to reduce both operational costs and product losses. Similar to Flow-Cal’s Enterprise Gas system, the FLOWCAL Liquid system will allow the Company to focus on the integrity of their liquid data, identifying and correcting measurement data anomalies.
