Global private equity and infrastructure investment firm First Reserve closed its second energy infrastructure fund, First Reserve Energy Infrastructure Fund II LP. The fund launched in late 2013 and was oversubscribed beyond its target of $2 billion, closing at its hard cap of $2.5 billion. First Reserve now has more than $4 billion dedicated to investing in energy infrastructure.

The fund will focus on long-lived energy infrastructure investments including contracted midstream, contracted power, regulated transmission and distribution and contracted energy assets.
