Energy Transfer Equity LP (ETE) and Energy Transfer Partners LP (ETP) received the final environmental impact statement (FEIS) for the Lake Charles LNG Export Co. LLC liquefaction project from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the company said Aug. 17.
The 90-day period for other federal agencies to complete reviews of the project and issue any required agency authorizations has begun, and the decision deadline is Nov. 12. FERC’s authorization is expected to be issued during this time period, the companies said.
Final investment decisions from both Energy Transfer and BG Group are expected in mid-2016. Construction is scheduled to begin immediately thereafter. The first exports of LNG are expected in mid-2020, the companies said.
Energy Transfer Equity LP is an MLP that owns the general partner of Dallas-based Energy Transfer Partners LP.
