Exterran Holdings Inc. and Exterran Partners LP said June 8 that in the third quarter of 2015, Exterran plans to separate its international contract operations, international aftermarket services and global product line businesses for the U.S. oil and natural gas industry into a standalone company, resulting in two independent companies. Archrock, the remaining company, will be the leading natural gas contract compression services and aftermarket services provider.
Brad Childers is president and CEO of Exterran Partners, which will become Archrock after the separation is complete. He said the compression services fleet has about 3.7 million operating horsepower.
The company handling Exterran’s global product lines and non-U.S. services will continue to be called Exterran. The product lines will include production equipment, gas compression equipment, processing and treating equipment and water treatment solutions.
“Exterran’s customers can continue to rely on our legacy of proven world-wide performance,” said Andrew Way, executive vice president. When the transaction is complete, he will become president and CEO of Exterran.
Exterran Holdings Inc. is based in Houston.
