Enterprise Products Partners LP (NYSE: EPD) completed expansion of an LPG export terminal at the Houston Ship Channel, the company said April 6.
The terminal will now handle 9 million barrels per month (MMbbl/month) of chilled low-ethane propane.
A total of 1.5 MMbbl/month of incremental loading capacity was added by enhancing the refrigeration infrastructure. Enterprise will now accommodate three extra ships per month, the company added.
A new refrigeration train will increase loading rates by another 11 Mbbl/hr. It is scheduled to be completed in 2015’s fourth quarter.
When all expansions are complete, Enterprise will load up to 16 MMbbl/month of LPG. This equates to 29 vessels, the company added.
A LPG pjpeline from Mont Belvieu, Texas, to the terminal is being completed.
