Enterprise Products Partners LP will build a new cryogenic gas processing plant in Eddy County, N.M., and associated gas and NGL pipeline infrastructure to support growing production in the Delaware Basin, the company announced. The plant and associated infrastructure are expected to enter service in first-quarter 2016.
The gas processing plant has a planned initial capacity of 200 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of gas, with the option to add additional capacity in the future. Once the facility is complete, Enterprise’s total gas processing capacity in the Delaware Basin will be 400 MMcf/d.
The planned infrastructure to supply the new plant includes about 80 miles of gas gathering pipeline, which will complement its existing 1,500 miles of gas pipelines in the basin. Enterprise will also build a 75-mile, 12-inch diameter NGL pipeline to transport NGL from the South Eddy plant to its Hobbs NGL fractionation and storage facility in Gaines County, Texas. Through the Hobbs facility, customers will have access to the company’s NGL fractionation and storage complex in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Enterprise also plans to build pipelines for delivery of residue gas from the South Eddy plant to multiple third-party pipelines.
