Enterprise Products Partners LP announced that the binding open season to determine shipper demand for capacity on its proposed new crude oil pipeline from the Williston Basin in North Dakota to the hub in Cushing, Okla. has been extended until 5 p.m. Central Standard Time on Nov. 14.
The proposed 30-inch diameter pipeline would traverse about 1,200 miles. Its current design allows for an initial transport capacity of about 340,000 barrels per day (bbl/d) of crude oil, expandable to more than 700,000 bbl/d. The pipeline is expected to begin initial operations in fourth-quarter 2016, and to be fully operational by third-quarter 2017.
