On Sept. 24, EnLink Midstream Partners LP and its general partner EnLink Midstream LLC announced that the limited partnership completed two construction projects, one in southern Louisiana and the other in West Texas.
The completed projects include:
- Phase II of the Cajun-Sibon NGL expansion project, which connects EnLink Midstream’s Eunice fractionator in South Louisiana to Mt. Belvieu supply pipelines in East Texas; and
- The Bearkat gas processing plant and rich gas gathering system in West Texas, located in Glasscock and Reagan counties, Texas.
The Cajun-Sibon project included the expansion of pipeline capacity by an additional 50,000 barrels per day (bbl/d) of NGL to 120,000 bbl/d; installation of a 100,000 bbl/d fractionator near the EnLink Midstream Partners’ Plaquemine gas processing plant; modification of the Riverside fractionator facility; and the construction and conversion of about 90 miles of NGL pipelines originating at the Eunice fractionator and connecting to the Plaquemine fractionator.
The Bearkat expansion included building a new 60 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) gas processing plant, known as Bearkat, and 65 miles of high-pressure gas gathering pipeline. Construction of an additional gas processing plant and a new pipeline is planned for Phase II of the project, which is expected to be complete in first-quarter 2015.
