Energy Transfer Partners LP (ETP) entered into additional long-term gas gathering and processing agreements with producers in the growing Eagle Ford and Eaglebine production areas of south and southeast Texas. To accommodate the volumes in the agreements, ETP has started construction on two new cryogenic gas processing plants and additional gas gathering pipelines. The new projects include:
- The East Texas Plant, a 200 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) cryogenic processing plant that will be constructed and installed east of ETP’s La Grange Plant, and that has an expected in-service date in fourth-quarter 2015;
- The Volunteer Pipeline, a 70-mile, 24-inch pipeline with a planned initial capacity of 200 MMcf/d expandable to more than 400 MMcf/d that is expected to enter service by fourth-quarter 2015; and
- The REM Eagle Ford Plant II, a 200 MMcf/d cryogenic processing plant in the Eagle Ford that is expected to be online by June 2015.
The combined projects are estimated to cost between $375 million and $410, and will add to ETP’s growing presence in south and southeast Texas where the company has spent more than $3 billion on pipelines, plants and associated infrastructure in the last several years.
