Enable Midstream Partners LP signed several natural gas transportation service agreements. Enable also will upgrade its Cox City natural gas processing facility in Grady County, Okla.
Enable extended its transportation agreements with St. Louis, Mo.-based Laclede Gas Co. The contracts will provide up to 135,000 dekatherms per day of transportation service for two to five years. The company also signed a long-term contract to provide firm transportation service to Grand River Dam Authority’s planned 495 megawatt combined cycle power plant in Mayes County, Okla. The contract allows for up to 84,000 million Btu per day of natural gas. The plant is expected to enter service in early 2017.
Enable also plans to upgrade its Cox City natural gas processing plant, which has a processing capacity of 180 million cubic feet per day. The facility serves producers in the South Central Oklahoma Oil Province (SCOOP) in the Woodford Shale. Increased drilling activity in the SCOOP is producing liquids-rich natural gas that requires enhanced processing, so planned upgrades to the Cox City plant will add refrigeration and stabilization facilities to the largest processing train, improving the efficiency of the NGL recovery.
