EagleClaw Midstream Services LLC purchased natural gas gathering and processing assets in Reeves County, Texas, the company said in a Dec. 9 statement. Acquired assets include:

  • More than 50 miles of gas gathering pipeline;
  • A refrigerated Joule-Thomson plant with a natural gas processing capacity of 15 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d);
  • A 60 MMcf/d cryogenic processing plant; and
  • Seven new 1,700-horsepower compressors.

The new assets form EagleClaw’s East Toyah natural gas gathering and processing system, which serves producers in the Delaware Basin, including the upper and middle Wolfcamp, Bone Spring and Avalon Shale formations.

EagleClaw’s anchor customers for the system are Silverback Exploration LLC and Elevation Resources LLC. In support of the acquisition, Silverback dedicated production from 50,000 acres. In support of EagleClaw’s Northwest Toyah system, located within 13 miles of the East Toyah system, Elevation committed production from 50,000 acres. EnCap Flatrock Midstream increased its equity commitment to EagleClaw to $200 million in support of the company’s growth.
