Marathon Pipe Line LLC and Ohio River Pipe Line LLC, subsidiaries of MPLX LP, announced that the proposed 50-mile Cornerstone Pipeline and other associated Utica Shale build-out projects in eastern Ohio had a successful phase one non-binding open season. The open season showed sufficient interest from prospective shippers to continue development of several of the projects included in the open season.
The companies will proceed with phase two, the binding open season, during which time prospective shippers may submit offers to Marathon Pipe Line for priority and non-priority transportation service.
The non-binding open season ran from Aug. 1 to Sept. 15. The phase two binding open season dates have not been selected, but it will likely begin in first-quarter 2015.
