CH2M, which serves midstream companies, expanded its U.S. pipeline and facilities engineering capabilities in Houston. K.C. Yost joined the firm to lead this new group after 18 years at Wood Group Mustang, the company said April 28.

Yost has worked in the industry for 40 years; he is recognized as a pipeline and facilities technical authority and he is a licensed professional engineer in 29 states.

He has worked in program, project, and construction management; due diligence and feasibility studies; route selection, piping and facility design; estimating; hydraulic analysis; contract and material specifications; code compliance audits and evaluations; and permit acquisitions for several gas and liquid hydrocarbon pipeline projects throughout the Americas.

Chip Mitchell, president of CH2M's energy and industrial business segment, said the need for major oil and gas pipeline infrastructure remains significant throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. He added that CH2M is building its Houston team.
