Magellan Midstream Partners LP and Occidental Petroleum Corp. announced that BridgeTex Pipeline extended its supplemental open season for additional transportation commitments on the pipeline. The new due date for binding commitments is Aug. 14, 2014, at 5 p.m. Central Time.
Construction on the pipeline began in November 2012 after an initial open season, during which BridgeTex secured sufficient long-term commitments to support the project. It is now in the last stages of construction and will have a transport capacity of up to 300,000 barrels per day of Permian Basin crude oil from Colorado City, Texas, to the Houston Gulf Coast area.
