Magellan Midstream Partners LP and Occidental Petroleum Corp. announced on July 9 that BridgeTex Pipeline launched a supplemental open season for additional transportation commitments on the pipeline. The deadline for interested customers to submit binding commitments is Aug. 7, 2014, by 5 p.m. Central Standard Time.

Construction of the pipeline began in November 2012 and is now in the final stages. Service is expected to commence by the middle of third-quarter 2014.
