BP Plc (NYSE: BP) will provide Thailand’s PTT Public Ltd. Co. with about 1 million tonnes of LNG per year through a sales and purchase agreement, according to a Dec. 29 press release.

The agreement has a 20-year term. LNG will begin being supplied in 2017, sourced from BP’s LNG portfolio including the Freeport LNG project in Texas.

Paul Reed, CEO of BP Integrated Supply and Trading, said Thailand has become a significant LNG market.
