CIG Logistics partnered with Ameripointe Logistics hub to operate and jointly market the development of frack sand transloading and storage services at the newly constructed logistics terminal in Ardmore, Okla.

The terminal in Ardmore, between the Scoop and Stack shale plays, can accommodate more than 200 fully loaded rail cars and more than 1,500 acres of industrial development land. It provides direct access to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railway and I-35 corridor.

Michael Collins, vice president of business development for CIG Logistics, said the hub will employ railroad engineers, conductors, bulk terminal operators and others.

Fort Worth, Texas-based CIG Logistics operates strategically located rail terminals to support the energy supply chain in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
