American Midstream Bakken LLC began a binding open season for a proposed Bakken crude oil gathering and transportation system in North Dakota, the company said May 22. American Midstream Bakken is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Midstream Partners LP.
The proposed system will be 50 miles long and can handle up to 40,000 barrels per day (Mbbl/d) of Bakken crude. Initially, the system can handle about 15 Mbbl/d beginning in June. Major intrastate and interstate pipeline systems will receive oil from the pipeline, which will be in the core of McKenzie County.
Potential shippers must sign a confidentiality agreement before receiving copies of open season documents and proposed tariffs, the company said. Written inquiries, comments and changes to conditions are due June 22.
Denver-based American Midstream Partners LP is a domestic-focused midstream MLP.
