TransCanada Pipeline Proposal Set for Environmental Review

To keep up with natural gas drilling and production in the Rockies, federal regulatory officials have commenced with environmental studies for a major pipeline project that would move natural gas from south-central Wyoming northeast through the Powder River Basin for delivery to upper Midwest markets.

TransCanada Pipeline USA last week filed a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) permit application for the proposed Pathfinder Pipeline project and Northern Border Pipeline Co.’s Bison Pipeline project. A subsidiary of TransCanada acquired Bison Pipeline LLC from Northern Border last month.
