Offshore pipeline construction activity remains strong, as operators are developing numerous crude and natural gas pipeline transportation systems around the world. The overall worldwide total remains high, with an estimated 11,954 miles being built or planned.A review of projects worldwide finds that the Europe continues to be the leader in offshore pipeline activity, with projects underway or planned for the Baltic, North and Blacks seas.
